Hi everyone!

The Munroe Dairy Marching Band will once again make its appearance at the Fourth of July parade in Bristol this weekend. Please note that the parade will take place on Monday, July 5th! The parade runs from 10:30 AM to about 2:30 PM, and we're usually towards the end. This will be our 7th year in the parade, and we have grown - bass and snare drums, trumpet, bari sax, 3 trombones, and a sousaphone! Come cheer us on!
www.July4thBristolRI.com

Emily's paintings have become stamps! A friend of ours made the request, and we discovered that it's possible to make custom USPS-approved postage. There are six images, and they come in 3 sizes and several denominations. If you would like to order them, here's the website. Postcards are next!

Bill & Emily's Musical Exploits - 3/23/10

Hi everyone!

Emily and I will be performing in Connecticut again this Friday night, the 26th, at 7 PM.  This will be a smaller, more intimate show featuring the country folk music of the Carter Family.  The show will take place at the Ivoryton Congregational Church as part of a Friday evening series of concerts, and we will be playing with a small contingent from the Small Town Concert Series.  I'll play banjo, Emily will play her little red accordion, and we will be singing as a duo for the first time!  Ice cream is included in the price of admission!
There is no website for the church - address, phone, and quick directions are at the bottom of this email.

Thanks to those of you who came and filled the theater to capacity three weeks ago at our Grand Ole Opry show - it was a huge success, and a lot of fun!  A video was recorded of the show and it's up on Youtube.  Go to this link:
to watch me lead an Uncle Dave Macon song on the banjo.  Other songs can be viewed as well, just click on d57e62 over to the upper left of the video, and other video links will become available on a new page.  Anything that says The Kate Mar 2010 is from this show.

Come celebrate Spring with us Friday night!

Hi everybody!

Assorted quickies:

I am giving a lecture and demonstration at Boston University next Tuesday, the 9th, at 7:45 PM. The lecture is sponsored by the graduate students in painting and sculpture (!), and is free and open to the public. I'll be speaking as a piano technician about the relationship between the musician and the piano. The lecture will be held at 855 Commonwealth Ave, Rm 410. There will be a reception beforehand, across the street at the third floor graduate art studios (808 Comm. Ave).

seen it yet, is the Munroe Dairy Band video that Richard Goulis created in 2008 and has up on YouTube.
